We're proud to announce our partnership with Pegaso Air Ambulance Service and the launch of dedicated medical-charter operations out of Florence, Italy.
vAirMed Intl is crossing the Atlantic. In our first European partnership, we've joined forces with Pegaso Air Ambulance Service — one of Italy's leading rotary-wing HEMS providers — to bring authentic Italian air-medical operations to the VATSIM network.
As part of the agreement, we're welcoming 2 Leonardo AW139s and 1 Airbus H145 helicopter re-painted in the unmistakable Pegaso livery into our fleet. These twin-engine machines will operate from three bases across Florence, covering everything from inter-hospital critical care transfers to mountain rescue across the Tuscan Apennines.
This isn't just a fleet addition. It's a commitment to modeling the precision, heritage, and life-saving purpose that defines real Pegaso missions — flown by our pilots over some of the most storied landscape in European aviation.
The two Leonardo AW139s bring all-weather muscle and cabins built for mountain rescue, joined by one Airbus H145 for enclosed-tail-rotor reliability and critical-care flexibility. Together they mirror Pegaso's real Tuscany configuration, ready for IFR scene calls across the Apennines and beyond.
Leading our Italian division is Alex D., appointed Regional Manager for the Pegaso partnership and Italian operations. Alex will coordinate the three new Florence bases, oversee AW139 mission standards, and build out our roster of rotary-qualified pilots across the region.
The Italian division is now accepting mission-ready pilots. Join vAirMed Intl and take your place in the Pegaso network over Tuscany.
