We're proud to announce our partnership with STARS Air Ambulance and the launch of dedicated medical-charter operations across Canada.
vAirMed Intl is expanding north. In a first-of-its-kind virtual partnership, we've joined forces with STARS Air Ambulance — one of the most respected real-world rotary air-medical organizations in North America — to bring authentic Canadian rescue operations to the VATSIM network.
As part of the agreement, we're welcoming 10 Canadian-registered H145 helicopters re-painted in the iconic STARS livery into our fleet. These twin-engine workhorses will operate from six bases spanning Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, covering everything from urban inter-facility transfers to remote wilderness medevacs.
This isn't just a fleet addition. It's a commitment to modeling the grit, coordination, and life-saving purpose that defines real STARS missions — flown by our pilots, across some of the most demanding terrain simulated in flight.
Six STARS-aligned bases now anchor our Canadian rotary network — from the Rockies to the Prairies.
The Airbus H145 is the backbone of real-world rotary EMS — twin-engine reliability, enclosed tail rotor, and a cabin built for critical care. Our virtual fleet mirrors STARS' real configuration, ready for IFR scene calls and hospital-to-hospital transfers alike.
Leading our Canadian division is MatteoMay, appointed Regional Manager for the STARS partnership and Canadian operations. MatteoMay will coordinate the six new bases, oversee H145 mission standards, and build out our roster of rotary-qualified pilots across the region.
The Canadian division is now accepting mission-ready pilots. Join vAirMed Intl and take your place in the STARS network.
